Uses
Hexafluorozirconic acid is mainly used in manufacturing of optical glass and fluozirconate.

The pretreatment of the substrate surface with zirconium-containing solution instead of chromate has been accepted by people,especially suitable for chemical conversion treatment before painting ,which can increase the bonding force between the coating and the substrate and improve the corrosion resistance.
Fluorozirconic acid is a colorless transparent liquid, acidic, and its specific gravity is about 1.48.At room temperature, when the concentration exceeds 42%, fluorozirconic acid is precipitated.
Fluorozirconic acid is often used in the form of fluorozirconate, it can be used as raw materials for zirconium compounds, magnesium aluminum alloys, catalysts, steel and non-ferrous metal alloys, as well as atomic energy industry and advanced electrical materials, refractory materials, electrical vacuum technology materials, optical glass raw materials, fireworks, ceramics, enamel and glass production, etcFluorozirconic acid is prepared as follows:Prepare the zirconium dioxide ZrO2 powder into a 20% suspension with pure water,stir the suspension,add 65% hydrofluoric acid dropwise to the suspension to prepare a transparent fluozirconic acid H2ZrF6 solution.
